SvD Kultur ranks Sweden’s top 20 authors

SvD Kultur has released a ranking of Sweden’s 20 most significant authors, based on evaluations from 101 critics, authors, and cultural experts. The list aims to provide a counter-perspective to algorithmic content bubbles by fostering discussion on literary value.

A notable finding from the expert consensus is the dominance of female writers, who occupy all of the top five positions on the list. The ranking also highlights specific individual preferences, such as the consistent placement of Lars Jakobson at the top by certain critics.
