Sven Nys Cycling Academy expands following decade of success

The Sven Nys Cycling Academy is experiencing significant growth as it marks its tenth year of operation. Originally focused on teaching basic cycling skills and safety in Baal, the academy has expanded its reach to include a professional training structure known as the ‘Young Lions’. This program is designed to transition talented youth from recreational riding to competitive cyclocross and road cycling through weekly training sessions and specialized camps.

The academy’s popularity has reached an international level, attracting young riders from countries including Ireland, Hungary, and France. Due to high demand, with sessions often selling out within minutes, Nys is exploring potential expansions. Possible new locations for the academy include West Flanders, Limburg (specifically Zonhoven), or even a potential collaboration with a theme park.
