Svend Prisen awards celebrate Danish film and television

The annual Svend Prisen awards ceremony took place in Svendborg, celebrating excellence in Danish film and television. The film ‘Den sidste viking’, written and directed by Anders Thomas Jensen, secured the top prize for Best Danish Film.

In the acting categories, Mads Mikkelsen was named Best Actor for his role in ‘Den sidste viking’, while Trine Dyrholm won Best Actress for her performance in the romantic drama ‘Begyndelser’. The DR drama ‘Uniformen’ received the award for Best Danish TV Series. Additionally, Nikolaj Lie Kaas was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, the only category selected by a jury rather than public vote.

The event featured a red carpet attended by prominent industry figures, including Bodil Jørgensen, Mick Øgendahl, and Iben Hjejle, alongside rising talents such as Freja Klint Sandberg.
