Sveti Vlas beach sees luxury jeep parked on sand, prompting police inquiry
A luxury jeep registered in Sofia was driven onto the sand of Sveti Vlas beach, stopping just a few metres from the umbrellas and beachgoers. Photographs of the vehicle were posted on Facebook by singer‑composer Mariela Neykova, who wrote that the driver had probably "got lost looking for a spot and ended up on the sand." The posts sparked a wave of reactions on social media.
The Burgas regional police were asked for information; the head of the Nesebar district police said no official complaint had been received yet, but a case file will be opened and the driver’s identity will be sought. Under Bulgarian law, driving onto or parking on a beach is prohibited except for specialized equipment, with fines ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 lev. The incident follows similar beach‑parking cases earlier this year, including a BMW on Kabakum beach and a Jaguar driven by a Ukrainian citizen on the North beach of Burgas.
