Judith Lucy reveals breast cancer diagnosis

Australian comedian and author Judith Lucy has announced she has been diagnosed with early-stage, relatively non-aggressive breast cancer. The news follows an unusual mammogram result reported by BreastScreen Australia.

Lucy shared that after an initial lumpectomy, further cancer was discovered, leading to the decision to undergo a double mastectomy. She used her announcement on social media to urge women to stay consistent with their mammogram screenings.

The diagnosis comes shortly after the release of her wellness book, ‘Well Well Well... My Wellness Odyssey’. Lucy noted the irony of the timing but expressed a positive outlook on her recovery and future health.
