Svishtov celebrates city festivities and reopens renovated market

The city of Svishtov has marked several local developments, including the official opening of the ‘Svishtovski Loznitsi’ festivities at Aleko Central Square. During the opening ceremony, Mayor Gencho Genchev emphasized the importance of investing in education, infrastructure, and quality of life for the city's youth. He also noted that preliminary partnership agreements have been signed with the Danube Industrial Technological Park, with the first investors expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Additionally, the municipal ‘Veleshana’ market has reopened following a major renovation. Mayor Genchev and Municipal Council Chairman Kristian Kirilov attended the reopening, noting that the project was completed in its first stage. The municipality plans to apply for further funding through local initiative groups to complete a second stage of renovations, aiming to create a modern facility that supports a wider range of agricultural producers, including those selling meat, dairy, and eggs.
