SVO Netz GmbH expands digital grid infrastructure in Celle

SVO Netz GmbH is constructing a new, digitally controllable local substation at the intersection of Wittinger Straße and Am Tiergarten in Celle. The project aims to enhance grid monitoring and control, ensuring long-term supply security amidst the increasing demands of the energy transition.

The new facility will create additional capacity and relieve the existing network area. To facilitate the delivery and installation of the substation, Wittinger Straße will be fully closed to traffic on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A detour will be established during this period.
