Svolt begins mass production of Dragon Armor semi-solid batteries

Svolt Energy has commenced mass production of its Dragon Armor 100 kWh semi-solid battery packs at its manufacturing facility in Changzhou, Jiangsu province. The new battery architecture utilizes a hybrid liquid-solid technology designed to enhance safety and longevity.

According to company CEO Yang Hongxin, the Dragon Armor packs support 900 V high-voltage charging and 6C charging speeds. The manufacturer claims the technology can add 500 km of range in just 12 minutes. The battery cells are produced using separator transfer-printing technology, and the pack features liquid cooling on both the top and bottom surfaces.

To ensure durability, the bottom of the pack includes six layers of shielding, providing impact resistance three times higher than required by Chinese national standards. The high-speed stacking technology used in production is expected to support a lifespan of over 3,000 charging cycles. Svolt has already secured nominations from multiple customers, with specific vehicle models expected to be revealed soon.
