Swabian and Tirschenreuth regions honor vocational training graduates

In Schwaben, a ceremony celebrated the graduation of house‑keeping apprentices. Government official Josef Schnell praised the graduates’ perseverance, while deputy district administrator Christa Bail encouraged them to face challenges with humor. The event also marked the retirement of long‑time education advisor Inge Habel after 45 years of service. In the Bavarian district of Tirschenreuth, the annual Meisterfeier honored 40 continuing‑education graduates from craft, industry and commerce. District administrator Hubert Schicker highlighted the importance of the qualifications for the region’s fight against skilled‑labour shortages. Guest speaker Hans Kastl, vice‑president of the Handwerkskammer Niederbayern‑Oberpfalz, underscored the value of advanced vocational training. The ceremony included personal recognitions, musical accompaniment by Simeon Franz, and attendance by local mayors.
