SWAN enters robotics market for security and emergency services

Slovak telecommunications operator SWAN is expanding into the robotics sector through a partnership with PRIMEBOTS. The company aims to deploy robots for various specialized tasks, moving beyond its traditional focus on internet, mobile, and cloud services.

Currently, the company is testing robots for security purposes, where they can monitor premises and detect unauthorized persons under the supervision of a single operator. Future planned applications include assisting firefighters in smoke-filled environments, aiding in natural disaster response, providing medical assistance, and mapping buildings and routes. The robots used in these operations will be sourced from China.
