Swan Hellenic and Star Clippers announce expanded 2027 cruise itineraries

Luxury cruise operators Swan Hellenic and Star Clippers have announced expanded itineraries for 2027, focusing on remote destinations inaccessible to larger vessels.

Swan Hellenic’s expedition ship, SH Minerva, will navigate the Asia-Pacific region in 2027. The route includes Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Bougainville, and West Papua. The small capacity of the ship allows it to visit locations with limited port infrastructure, such as the volcanic island of Ambrym and the island of Nendo, where passengers can experience local Melanesian culture.

Star Clippers is set to reach a record number of new ports during its 2027 Mediterranean season. The sailing cruise provider will visit nearly 30 ports for the first time using its large sailing ships, including the Royal Clipper, Star Clipper, and Star Flyer. New destinations include the Dalyan river delta in Turkey, the Greek island of Kastelorizo, and various locations along the Côte d’Azur, Sicily, and Sardinia.
