SWANS releases specialized driving sunglasses for enhanced road safety

Yamamoto Kogaku Co., Ltd., through its brand SWANS, has released the third installment of its specialized driving sunglasses for the summer 2026 season. Developed over a decade in collaboration with racing driver Tetsuya Yamano, these sunglasses are designed to enhance road safety by emphasizing critical visual cues.

The lenses feature technology that naturally highlights colors such as red and yellow, making traffic signals, road signs, and vehicle brake lights or turn signals more prominent to the driver. Additionally, the eyewear provides polarization to reduce glare from road surfaces and oncoming vehicles, while offering over 99.9% UV protection.

The product lineup includes five different types, including full-rim and daily-use models, with weights ranging from 20g to 25g to ensure comfort during extended driving periods.
