Swansea City signs midfielder Tom Iorpenda from Huddersfield
Swansea City has completed the signing of 21-year-old midfielder Tom Iorpenda from Huddersfield Town. The transfer fee is estimated to be approximately £1 million (€875,000).
Iorpenda has signed a three-year contract with the Welsh club, which includes an option for an additional 12 months. He will wear the number 16 shirt and is expected to be available for the upcoming Championship fixture against Watford.
The midfielder joins Swansea following a successful loan spell at Notts County during the 2025-26 season, where he made 53 appearances, scored three goals, and provided seven assists. His performances helped Notts County secure promotion to the Championship, and he was named player of the season by both fans and teammates.
Swansea head coach Vitor Matos praised the signing, noting Iorpenda’s aggressive playing style, defensive work rate, and ability to execute progressive passes. Iorpenda, a Brighton academy product, previously made his senior debut against Manchester City in the FA Cup.
