Swansea man sentenced to three years for stalking women and indecent acts

Martin Roberts, 36, was convicted at Swansea Crown Court after a series of incidents on 2 July in Swansea city centre. He followed a woman through a Primark store, then pursued a second woman in a nearby Tesco, where CCTV recorded him dropping to the floor, looking up her skirt and rubbing his groin. Shortly after the incidents, police located him at a hostel, arrested him and later observed him stripping and performing a sex act in full view of CCTV inside Swansea Central Police Station, despite being told to stop. The court noted that the offences occurred a day after Roberts had been released on licence from prison for a previous matter. He was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment.
