Swappie, a specialist in refurbished smartphones, warns that temperatures above 35 °C can damage battery health over time. Head of Operations Pavel Tšukrejev says, “Many users associate summer smartphone problems with water or sand, but heat is a critical factor for battery health.”

The company recommends five practical steps: keep phones out of direct sunlight; let devices cool before charging, as charging adds heat; avoid energy‑intensive apps during the hottest part of the day; protect phones from sand, salt and sunscreen by cleaning them after beach or pool use; and regularly back up data to the cloud to guard against accidental loss.

Following these measures can help maintain performance and extend the lifespan of smartphone batteries during hot summer months.
