SwayvoTwain cast as The Notorious B.I.G. in Snoop Dogg biopic

Universal Pictures has announced new casting for its upcoming Snoop Dogg biopic, titled ‘Snoop’. SwayvoTwain, the son of late neo-soul musicians D’Angelo and Angie Stone, has been cast to portray The Notorious B.I.G. (Christopher Wallace). This marks the first major feature film role for the singer-songwriter, whose real name is Michael D’Angelo Archer II.

Other significant casting additions include Bentley Green as RBX and G Perico as Big Reecie Cup. The film features an ensemble led by Jonathan Daviss as Snoop Dogg. The cast also includes Myles Bullock as Dr. Dre, Camron Jones as Tupac Shakur, Algee Smith as Warren G, Tre Hale as Suge Knight, and Laya DeLeon Hayes as Shante Broadus.

Directed by Craig Brewer and produced by Death Row Pictures and Snoop Dogg himself, the film is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 6, 2027. The project represents the first cinematic release under the overall deal between Death Row Pictures and NBCUniversal Entertainment and Studios.
