SWCorp orders 113 offenders to undergo community service for littering

A total of 113 offenders have been ordered to undergo Community Service Orders (PKM) across 17 locations in Malaysia as part of the 50th PKM series organized by the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation (SWCorp).

The vast majority of the cases involve littering cigarette butts. Specifically, 111 offenders were penalized for discarding cigarette butts, while one individual was cited for discarding a beverage container and another for a beverage tin. The group of offenders includes 84 Malaysian citizens and 29 non-citizens.

Locations for the community service include Johor, Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Kedah, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Perlis. The initiative aims to provide civic education by allowing offenders to experience the direct impact of their actions on public cleanliness through cleaning recreational areas, public squares, and city centers.
