Sweden announces 2027 national orienteering team

The Swedish Orienteering Federation has officially selected its 14-member A-national team for the 2027 season. The squad consists of six women and eight men, featuring a mix of established world-class athletes and emerging talents.

Key returning members include Tove Alexandersson, Hanna Lundberg, Gustav Bergman, and Viktor Svensk. The team also sees the return of Isac von Krusenstierna and the inclusion of Martin Regborn despite a long-term injury. New talent Freja Hjerne joins the elite squad following successful junior and senior performances.

Several changes mark the new roster: Karolin Ohlsson has retired from international competition, and Max Peter Bejmer has stepped away from the national team following parenthood. The squad is preparing for the World Orienteering Championships, which will be held in Hungary in August 2027.
