Sweden announces Melodifestivalen 2027 host cities
Sweden has announced the host cities for Melodifestivalen 2027. The competition will feature semi-finals in Karlstad, Göteborg, Malmö, Halmstad, and Norrköping, with the grand finale held at the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm on March 13, 2027. This follows a period of political tension in Sweden as the country moves toward government formation involving the Social Democrats, Moderate Party, Green Party, and Center Party.
In Lithuania, the Eurovizija selection process continues as the country seeks to maintain its streak of six consecutive Eurovision Song Contest final qualifications.
In France, culinary events are being organized for late 2026. Marseille-based chocolatier L’Espérantine de Marseille is releasing a limited edition ‘La Colombe et l’Olivier’ box to commemorate the visit of Pope Leo XIV. Additionally, chef Eric Briffard will host special dinners at the Hôtel de la Marine in October 2026, and the Shangri-La Paris will host the ‘Taste of Shangri-La’ gastronomic celebration.
