Sweden's national football team beat Tunisia 5‑1 in the opening match of Group F at the FIFA World Cup, held at BBVA Stadium in Monterrey before 50,987 spectators. Goals were scored by Ayari (7', 96'), Isak (30'), Gyökeres (59') and Svanberg (84'), while Tunisia's lone goal came from Rekik (43'). The match was refereed by Argentine Pablo Perez.
