Sweden deports British man who lived in country since childhood

John Sellers, a 34-year-old British man, has been deported from Sweden despite having lived in the country since the age of 10. Sellers, who spent 24 years in Sweden and was educated there, was deported in January following three unsuccessful attempts to secure legal residency.

Sellers, who recently married his Swedish partner, Caroline, in Gothenburg, attributes his situation to the immigration changes brought about by Brexit. He expressed that while he understands different countries have different immigration rules, the loss of free movement rights has caused significant personal hardship. He is currently fighting to return to Sweden to reunite with his wife.
