Sweden launches partnership program for sustainable transport start-ups
Sweden’s national innovation agency, Vinnova, has announced a new call for the ‘Accelerated Startup Partnership’ program. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between knowledge-intensive start-ups and established public or private organizations by connecting new technological ideas with practical infrastructure, procurement, and operational expertise.
The program is part of Sweden’s Strategic Vehicle Research and Innovation (FFI) program and focuses on enhancing Swedish competitiveness through sustainable road transport. The autumn 2026 funding round targets four specific thematic areas: circularity, transport and mobility solutions, traffic-safe automation, and zero-emission mobility.
Potential projects include digital services for public transport, efficient logistics, shared mobility concepts, and connected driving technologies. An online information session is scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2026, to detail eligibility, application procedures, and project requirements.
