Sweden launches travel agency tailored for introverts
Visit Sweden has announced the launch of ‘The Introvert Travel Agency’, a service designed to help travelers explore the country with minimal social pressure and increased personal freedom.
The initiative follows research indicating a rising demand for quieter travel experiences. A YouGov survey found that 41% of travelers identify as introverts, and 67% prefer destinations where social interaction is optional. Additionally, 53% of respondents expressed a willingness to pay more for increased privacy and fewer crowds.
Experts note that Sweden’s low population density and the ‘allemansrätten’ (the right of public access) make it an ideal location for those seeking to recharge. Mattias Lundberg, an Associate Professor of Psychology at Umeå University, stated that environments with less social pressure allow individuals to better preserve and regain energy.
