Sweden men's handball team prepares for World Championship with matches against Austria

The Swedish men's national handball team is preparing for the 2027 World Championship with two home international matches against Austria. The first match is scheduled for January 6 at Husqvarna Garden in Jönköping, followed by a World Championship rehearsal match on January 8 at Scandinavium in Gothenburg.

Head coach Michael Apelgren noted that playing in front of full home arenas will provide significant energy for the team before they travel to Germany for the tournament. The team will use Gothenburg as their base during this preparation period.
