Sweden opens Green Skills XVII volunteer program for Algerian youth

The Green Skills XVII program is opening volunteer opportunities for young people from third countries, including Algeria, to participate in an immersive experience in Sweden. Starting in March 2027, eight volunteers will reside in the Suderbyn ecovillage for a period of 7 to 12 months.

Funded by the European Solidarity Corps, the initiative focuses on environmental challenges, social resilience, and sustainable living. Participants will live as co-residents within the ecovillage, engaging in practical training related to infrastructure and permaculture. The program aims to foster intercultural dialogue and develop technical skills while addressing global issues such as climate change and social inequality.
