Sweden: Potential artists rumored for Melodifestivalen 2027

Swedish broadcaster SVT has received a record-breaking 4,077 song entries for Melodifestivalen 2027, the competition used to select Sweden's Eurovision entry. This marks the second consecutive year that submission records have been broken.

Media reports from Aftonbladet suggest several artists may participate in the competition, though SVT has not officially confirmed the lineup. Rumored participants include rock veteran Nicke Borg, who is expected to perform a high-energy solo track, and Arja Saijonmaa, who would be making her fourth appearance.

Other names mentioned in rumors include Ingrid Enckell, Jackie Mere, Melwin Wid, and Mathilda Bohman. SVT is expected to hold a press conference on December 1 to reveal the full lineup of 30 artists. The competition is scheduled to begin on February 6, 2027, with Björn Kjellman and Oscar Zia serving as hosts.
