Sweden opened Group F of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 5‑1 victory over Tunisia. Goals were scored by Yasin Ayari (7′, 90+6′), Alexander Isak (30′), Viktor Gyokeres (59′) and Mattias Svanberg (85′). Tunisia’s lone goal came from Rekik (43′).

Swedish coach Graham Potter praised the partnership of Isak and Gyokeres, calling their performance "fantastic" and noting the team’s calm and solid play. Sweden’s next group matches are scheduled against the Netherlands on 20 June and Japan on 26 June.
