Sweden tops 2026 quality‑of‑life ranking
Two 2026 surveys evaluated the quality of life across nations. A study by Visual Capitalist examined 85 states and placed Sweden at the top, with Denmark and Canada following, using criteria such as affordability, employment opportunities, political stability, public services and overall well‑being.
A separate ranking compiled by U.S. News & World Report together with the Wharton School listed Belgium, Germany, Australia, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland and Switzerland among the top ten, highlighting factors like safety, health care, education, economic stability and future prospects.
