Swedish athletes secure multiple medals at European Championships

Swedish athletes achieved significant success at the European Championships in Birmingham. Andreas Almgren secured gold in the 10,000 meters, setting a new championship record with a time of 27:23.44. Shortly after, Samuel Pihlström earned silver in the 1,500 meters following a strong late sprint.

In swimming, Sarah Sjöström took silver in the 50-meter freestyle in Paris, finishing just 0.02 seconds behind Poland's Katarzyna Wasick. This marked Sjöström's 30th European Championship medal.

Other notable performances included Vanessa Kamga winning bronze in the discus throw with a mark of 64.61 meters, and Kajsa Roth finishing tenth in the pole vault final.
