Swedish athletes set junior records at World Athletics U20 Championships

Swedish athletes achieved notable success at the World Athletics U20 Championships, including multiple new junior records.

Carmen Cernjul finished fourth in the 3000m with a time of 8:52.60, setting a new Swedish junior record by 1.66 seconds. She managed to close a gap in the final 500 meters to secure her position behind three African runners.

In the women's triple jump, Johanna Sundén secured a place in the final after a dramatic third jump of 13.58 meters. This performance was a personal best by 41 centimeters and moved her into third place on the Swedish U19 all-time list.

Additionally, Majken Söderlund Larsson finished fourth in the 3000m steeplechase, also setting a new Swedish junior record.
