German ski jumpers stumble at Wisla Summer Grand Prix

At the Summer Grand Prix in Wisla, Poland (1‑2 August 2026), the German ski‑jumping team competed without its leading male athletes. Philipp Raimund, Andreas Wellinger, Karl Geiger, Pius Paschke and Felix Hoffmann opted out, leaving Luca Roth as the sole male representative. Roth failed to advance beyond the first round on both days.

The women’s squad delivered modest results. Juliane Seyfarth was the top German finisher, placing 15th in each competition, while Alvine Holz achieved a personal best 20th place. The overall men’s performance was described as a disappointment, whereas the women provided the only bright spots for Germany.

Internationally, Japan’s Naoki Nakamura won both events, with Marco Wörgötter (Austria) and Gregor Deschwanden (Switzerland) also reaching the podium.
