Swedish Centre Party pushes tax cuts to boost youth hiring in Ulricehamn

The Centre Party proposes removing employer contributions and income tax for workers up to 19 years old to make it cheaper for businesses to hire young people. The plan aims to complement existing municipal summer‑job programmes that give teenagers their first work experience in Ulricehamn, and calls for the region and local firms to expand such jobs, especially in health care. By lowering hiring costs and expanding entry‑level opportunities, the party argues the measures will strengthen confidence and future prospects for Swedish youth.

The proposal also emphasises that while national reforms are needed, local initiatives – more summer jobs and better conditions for small companies – are essential to enable young people to gain valuable experience and for employers to identify future staff.
