Swedish club AIK signs Nigerian midfielder Oreoluwa Agbenla and targets Arsenal loanee Charles Sagoe Jr

AIK announced the four‑year signing of 18‑year‑old Nigerian midfielder Oreoluwa Agbenla, who joins the Stockholm club from Beyond Limits FA on a contract running until 31 December 2030. Recruitment manager Miika Takkula praised Agbenla as a versatile "box‑to‑box" midfielder with strong defensive and attacking instincts.

The club is also in advanced talks to acquire Arsenal‑owned winger Charles Sagoe Jr., who is currently on loan at fellow Allsvenskan side Kalmar FF. Sagoe, 21, has contributed two goals and seven assists in 14 league appearances for Kalmar. Arsenal’s contract with the player runs to 2027, and AIK may need to negotiate an early termination fee to bring him to Stockholm before the summer transfer window.
