Swedish Cold‑War torpedo boat YSTAD opens to public in Copenhagen

The Swedish Cold‑War torpedo missile boat YSTAD, built to defend Sweden against attack and armed with eight missiles, six torpedoes and a 57 mm Bofors gun, will dock in Copenhagen on 6 August. The vessel, which never saw combat and has been retired, will be moored at the canal beside the Royal Library opposite the War Museum (Krigsmuseet).

For one day, the public can board YSTAD for a 30‑minute guided tour organized by the War Museum. Tours run from 10:00 to 17:00 at half‑hour intervals, offering visitors a close look at Cold‑War naval equipment and history.
