Swedish debate over wild boar control and push for women‑led businesses

The Swedish Social Democratic Party has proposed a state target aimed at nearly eradicating wild boar, a move critics say would conflict with existing wildlife management practices and limit property owners’ rights. The proposal follows government efforts to make it easier for hunters to sell wild boar meat.

Separately, political commentator Mattias Andersson argues that gender equality, entrepreneurship and job creation require the inclusion of women‑owned businesses in the health‑care and social‑care sectors. He stresses that Sweden needs more companies capable of growth and hiring, and that overlooking women’s ideas and industries would be a missed economic opportunity.
