Swedish Football Federation backs UEFA boycott as fuel prices rise and conductor Per Borin returns

The Swedish Football Federation announced it supports UEFA’s decision to boycott FIFA tournaments, with chairman Simon Åström saying the move concerns international football governance.

Fuel prices in Sweden were raised by 40 öre per litre for gasoline and 55 öre for diesel. Around the same time, new parking fees were installed on private land in Hargä to curb illegal parking, prompting complaints from locals such as Conny Karlsson who struggled to find a spot.

After 35 years abroad, conductor Per Borin returned to his hometown area to lead concerts in the churches of Nora and Lindesberg. A separate incident involved a child with autism accidentally flooding a bathroom overnight, resulting in a claim of nearly 300,000 SEK for damages.
