Swedish House Mafia and Lykke Li Release New Single ‘Happiness Is So Sad’

Swedish House Mafia have issued a new collaborative track with fellow Swede Lykke Li titled “Happiness Is So Sad.” Produced by the trio together with PARISI, Fred again, and featuring songwriting contributions from Max Martin and Oscar Holter, the song blends the group’s cinematic electronic style with Li’s distinctive vocals and explores the bittersweet overlap of joy and loss.

The single marks Li’s first release since her album The Afterparty and was debuted during the trio’s summer residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza. It will also feature prominently in their upcoming home‑coming concerts at Gothenburg’s Ullevi Stadium on 28–29 August, the largest headline shows of their career to date.
