Swedish ice hockey clubs are engaging in preseason activities. Borås Hockey has announced ‘Borås On Ice 2026’ for August 20, an event designed to kick off the 2026/27 season. The event features a presentation of the A-team, player meet-and-greets, and an internal scrimmage.

In recent match action, Hockeyallsvenskan side Kalmar HC suffered an unexpected 5-2 preseason loss to Hockeyettan team Karlskrona. Despite Kalmar dominating shots with 41-20, Karlskrona secured the win. The match was noted for its physical play, including a match penalty issued to Kalmar’s Valdemar Vesterlund for a hit to the head.
