Swedish Left Party faces criticism after chant “All Malmö hates police” at Pride parade

During the Malmö Pride parade, participants from the Swedish Left Party shouted the slogan “Hela Malmö hatar polisen” (“All Malmö hates the police”). The chant was captured on video and quickly went viral, prompting sharp condemnation from Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer, who called it “completely scandalous”. The party’s Malmö branch clarified that the chant was not an official slogan, and party executive member Jonas Lindberg said the incident would be examined internally to prevent repetition. The controversy has reignited debate ahead of the upcoming election, with party leader Nooshi Dadgostar expected to comment and other political figures, including former Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson, likely to be questioned about the party’s stance toward law enforcement.
