Swedish legal AI firm Legora acquires London startup Wexler

Swedish legal‑tech unicorn Legora announced the acquisition of London‑based Wexler, an AI‑powered platform that extracts, verifies and analyses facts for litigation, compliance, HR, tax and forensics teams. Wexler, founded in 2023 by Gregory Mostyn and Kush Madlani, employs 18 staff and serves clients across Europe and the United States.

The purchase, whose financial terms were not disclosed, marks Legora’s fifth acquisition in 2026 and continues its strategy of consolidating the legal‑AI market. Legora will integrate Wexler’s fact‑extraction engine as the factual layer of its agentic operating system and will establish a London engineering hub staffed by Wexler’s team. Legora, valued at about $5.5‑$5.6 billion after a recent $600 million Series D round, is competing with rival Harvey to become the default platform for law‑firm workflows.

Legora’s co‑founder and CEO Max Junestrand said the deal gives trial lawyers faster access to verified case facts, cutting manual document review time by up to 75 %. The acquisition strengthens Legora’s product suite beyond research and drafting, bringing its technology closer to courtroom use.
