Swedish industrial firms report earnings and outlook amid market analysis

Ålandsbanken upgraded its view on Investor‑owned Wärtsilä after the company posted a record Q2 ordering backlog of €2.85 billion, driven by energy‑segment orders and demand from U.S. data centres. The bank sees potential margin expansion from these orders, though it expects the effect to materialise only after 2028. It also maintained a long‑term target of SEK 620 per Boliden share while noting the miner’s Q2 results and the possibility of a Nexa Resources acquisition.

Steelmaker SSAB reported Q2 2026 earnings below analyst forecasts, with EBITDA of SEK 3.78 billion versus the SEK 3.87 billion consensus and revenue of SEK 27.49 billion. The company warned that deliveries in its Special Steels and European divisions are likely to fall in Q3, while maintaining its 2026 investment plan for premium‑product development and a transition to fossil‑free steel.

A market‑wide report calendar for 21 July listed a range of Swedish‑listed companies—including Boliden and Alfa Laval—preparing to release earnings, underscoring a busy reporting day for the country's material and industrial sectors.
