Swedish man sentenced to prison for assault and stalking

A man has been sentenced to ten months in prison by the Uddevalla District Court for a series of crimes including assault, child protection violations, unlawful stalking, and unlawful threats.

The court findings revealed that the individual repeatedly contacted a former partner via SMS, Messenger, video calls, and Swish, despite a restraining order being in place. Additionally, the man was convicted of causing property damage at the Stenungsbaden hotel and for resisting arrest and threatening a police officer.

The sentence also covers violent crimes against women in other relationships, including an incident involving physical assault and strangulation. The defendant is ordered to pay damages to multiple victims, with the largest individual compensation totaling 90,439 SEK, as well as covering repair costs for the hotel.
