Swedish metal band RAM releases new video for ‘Against’

Swedish heavy metal band RAM has released a new music video for ‘Against’, the title track of their latest full-length album released via Metal Blade Records.

The track was written to reflect themes of personal defiance and facing overwhelming opposition. Vocalist Oscar Carlquist described the song as an ‘old school’ track that avoids modern production trends, aiming instead for a raw sound.

Musically, the album marks a shift toward more concise songwriting and a grounded approach compared to the spiritual themes of their previous work, ‘The Throne Within’. The band drew inspiration from classic recording philosophies and artists such as Dio, MSG, and Sweet to achieve an unpolished, direct sonic profile.
