Slättabadet redevelopment study slated for completion autumn 2026
A municipal working group was appointed to develop ideas for the Slättabadet area, gathering input from residents and local organisations. Over 100 residents answered surveys and three open dialogue meetings were held during 2024‑2025.
In autumn 2025 project management was transferred to the environmental and community‑building department to oversee a broader study of the whole centre, not just the former bathing site. The study will map needed meeting places, activity zones and assess where new facilities would bring the greatest benefit.
Basket and beach‑volleyball courts and grass areas have already been opened to the public. The study is expected to be finished in autumn 2026, after which the municipal council will decide on the proposals.
