Swedish players prepare for 2026/27 NHL training camps

As the 2026/27 NHL season approaches, Swedish players are participating in various training camps across North America. The Detroit Red Wings currently hold the highest number of Swedes at their camp with nine players, followed by the Ottawa Senators and Nashville Predators with eight each. Other notable Swedish players include William Nylander, Leo Carlsson, and Rasmus Dahlin.

Among the rising talents is Elton Hermansson, a forward drafted 19th overall in the 2026 NHL Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. Despite signing a three-year entry-level contract with the Kings, Hermansson will remain with MoDo Hockey for the 2026/27 season. Hermansson previously earned gold at the 2026 U18 World Championships, where he was named to the All-Star team.
