Swedish PM Ulf Kristersson vows to keep migration policy course

In an interview with Dagens Nyheter, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said that if the Tidö coalition wins the upcoming election, Sweden will continue its current migration stance. He emphasized that the government will keep the “course” on stricter labour immigration rules, higher wage thresholds for workers, increased return subsidies and a rise in expulsions. Kristersson noted that the policy shift has been driven largely by the Sweden Democrats and that recent criticism over teen expulsions forced a temporary adjustment, but the overall direction will remain unchanged. When asked whether voters opposed the measures, he replied, “Jag tror inte det” (I don’t think so).
