Swedish political parties increase door-to-door campaigning
Political parties in Sweden are increasingly utilizing door-to-door campaigning as a primary strategy for upcoming elections. In the Värmland region, parties such as the Moderates, the Social Democrats, and the Left Party are prioritizing personal voter contact over traditional advertisements or phone calls.
The Moderates have set a goal to visit 15,000 households in Värmland, while the Social Democrats have planned over 31,000 visits in the region. The Left Party has adopted door-knocking as a new tactic, moving away from phone-based outreach due to low answer rates.
In Ånge, the Social Democrats have reported knocking on nearly 1,000 doors, focusing their local platform on healthcare, education, childcare, and industrial investments in areas like Alby and Ljungaverk. Their broader platform includes national goals such as increasing child benefits and improving elderly care.
