Swedish political parties propose labor and entrepreneurship reforms

Swedish political parties have proposed distinct approaches to labor and economic growth. Vänsterpartiet is advocating for a job policy focused on public investment in climate, housing, and energy. Their platform includes establishing a right to full-time employment as a norm, implementing a new weekly working hours law to reduce working hours, and ending the privatization of the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen). They also propose increasing resources for labor market training and strengthening practical learning (APL) in schools.

Meanwhile, Centerpartiet is focusing on boosting economic growth by prioritizing women's entrepreneurship, specifically highlighting the situation in Dalarna. Noting that women-led businesses receive only about one percent of Swedish venture capital, the party calls for better access to capital and regional business support. They propose giving Almi a clearer mandate to provide loans and counseling to women and aim to make it easier for small, local businesses to participate in public procurement processes.
