Swedish Pride Initiatives Back European Festivals and Light Up Stockholm Office

KPA Pension illuminated its office near Skanstull in Stockholm with rainbow colours during Pride week, a joint effort with the Rainbow Fund to showcase support for LGBT QI rights. Market manager Kamilla Engström highlighted the company's commitment to inclusivity, noting that KPA, with more than 2.3 million municipal and regional customers, was the first hbtqi‑certified firm in the Swedish financial sector.

Separately, Stockholm Pride’s Solidarity Fund awarded a total of €15,100 (about 150,000 SEK) to Pride organisations in seven European cities – Belgrade, Sarajevo, Budapest, Chisinau, Kyiv, Vilnius and Sofia. Grants range from €4,500 for Belgrade’s Pride House to €1,000 for Sarajevo and Kyiv, covering venue costs, security, volunteer supplies and other operational needs. Victor Harju of the fund stressed the growing safety challenges faced by Pride events across Europe and the importance of the financial support.
