Swedish real estate firms announce major construction projects

Several major construction and real estate developments are underway across Sweden.

In Stockholm, Skandia is set to move its headquarters to a new 15-story landmark at Odenplan by 2029. The project involves demolishing the existing Läkarhuset to build a sustainable office space that incorporates recycled building components and features retail and social spaces on the ground floor.

In Visby, Peab has secured a 114 million SEK contract from Gotlandshem to build 40 new energy-efficient rental homes as part of the Riggen project. This expansion follows previous stages of the development, with move-ins expected by 2029.

In Helsingborg, SLP is investing approximately 224 million SEK to construct a 24,700 square meter logistics facility. The project includes a 12-year lease agreement and is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2027, with the building aiming for Miljöbyggnad Silver certification.
